We’re delighted to once again be taking part in the annual York Rise Street Party, one of North London’s favourite community events, and we’d love to welcome you to our studio.
Whether you’ve visited us before or are discovering Sonya Winner Studio for the first time, the festival is the perfect opportunity to explore our colourful world of contemporary rugs, meet the team, and enjoy a relaxed day out in one of London’s most creative neighbourhoods.
What is the York Rise Street Party?
Held every year on York Rise in Tufnell Park, the York Rise Street Party brings together local artists, independent businesses, musicians, cafés and community groups for a lively day of celebration. Browse handmade gifts, homeware and unique fashion, enjoy delicious food and drink from our neighbours including Sis & Sibs and Truffles Deli, and explore one of North London’s most vibrant independent shopping streets. Whether you’re looking for a fun day out, unique handmade products or simply a great community atmosphere, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Visit Our Open Studio
Throughout the festival our North London showroom and design studio will be open for visitors.
You’ll be able to:
- Browse our award-winning collection of contemporary rugs, runners and wall hangings.
- Meet our friendly team and learn how our handmade rugs are designed and crafted.
- Discover our latest collections inspired by art, architecture and travel.
- Meet guest artist Lauren Super, whose new collaborative collection with Sonya Winner Studio will be making its debut at the festival. Inspired by Sonya’s Fishes in Greece rug and Lauren’s distinctive resin sculptures, the collection explores colour, movement and the beauty of marine life. Whether you’ve purchased one of our rugs before or are visiting us for the very first time, we’d love to meet you. It’s always a pleasure seeing our clients again and hearing how our rugs have become part of their homes, while welcoming new visitors who are discovering us for the first time!

The festival is free to attend and suitable for all ages. Our studio will be open from 12pm – 6pm, with the festival continuing until 8pm.

The studio is just a 5-minute walk from Tufnell Park Underground Station (Northern line), with Kentish Town and Gospel Oak stations also within walking distance.
If you’re driving, there is limited on-street parking nearby, although we recommend travelling by public transport where possible, as the festival can be busy.
You can make a day of it by exploring York Rise’s independent cafés, shops and market stalls while enjoying the live entertainment throughout the street.
