Whether you’ve visited us before or are discovering Sonya Winner Rug Studio for the first time, The York Rise Street Festival is the perfect opportunity to explore our colourful world of contemporary rugs and cushions, meet our team, whilst also enjoying everything else the Street festival has to offer…
What is the York Rise Street Party?
Held each year on York Rise in NW5 on the edge of Hampstead Heath, the York Rise Street Party brings together local artists, independent businesses, musicians, cafés and community groups for a festive day of celebration.
This year meet artist Lauren Super, who will be exhibiting her work for the first time. Read about Lauren’s work and this exhibition.
Sonya will also be launching launching Solar Chroma our new rug with matching cushions.

Meet Artist Lauren Super at the York Rise Street Party
As part of the York Rise Street Party 2026, contemporary artist Lauren Super will be exhibiting her colourful resin sculptures and evocative oil paintings at Sonya Winner Studio. Meet Lauren in person, discover the fascinating inspiration and ideas behind her vibrant work, with the opportunity to purchase pieces from the exhibition.

Live Music, Local Shops & Stalls at York Rise Street Party 2026
The York Rise Street Party 2026 will bring together some of the best of our North London community, with live music, local businesses and food and drink stalls.
This year’s live music line-up includes The Tufnell Park Big Band, The False Dots, Nkomba, Xodus, Chas n Dave’s Legacy, Massaoke, The Spud Peelers and Funky Beast.

The York Rise Festival on Saturday 5th September is free and suitable for all ages.
Our studio will be open from 12pm – 6pm during the festival.

The studio is a 5-minute walk from Tufnell Park Underground Station (Northern line), with Kentish Town and Gospel Oak train stations within walking distance.
If you’re driving, there is limited free on-street parking nearby, although we recommend travelling by public transport on the day of the festival.
To make a day of it – why not arrive earlier and enjoy the Green spaces of Hampstead Heath which are only 5 minutes walk away and take a swim at wonderful The Lido which is a massive 61m x 27m or swim in The Ponds at Hampstead Heath and visit English Hertigage’s Kenwood House.
Also visit Swains Lane which is less than 10 minutes walk where there are a multitude of coffee shops and cafes and the fabulous fishmonger/restaurant The London Shell Company named by The Times food Critic Giles Coren as “The Best Resuarnat in the World!”
